A map of the workspace, the records that connect it, and the controls that decide what each person sees.

Legal Matters is the center of client work. A matter connects the client, responsible lawyers, workstreams, documents, dates, conversations, expenses, fee terms, invoices, and reports without asking the lawyer to enter the same fact again.

Firm-wide modules provide specialist views over those connected records. Workstreams shows work across matters, Documents shows the library, Time and Billing shows billable activity, and Reports shows management views. Opening a record should take you back to its source context.

Module activation decides whether a firm uses a capability. Roles and permissions decide which actions a member may take. Matter membership, departments, and ethical walls can narrow access to a specific client's work.

A missing module, button, or record is therefore not automatically a data failure. Check firm activation, the member's role, and record-level access in that order.

Firm owners configure identity, billing, modules, security, integrations, and defaults. Lawyers should spend most of their time in matters, My Workspace, workstreams, documents, calendar, Inbox, and billing review.

The platform favors data captured from the work itself. Matter reports, fee summaries, and activity should be assembled from completed tasks, time entries, expenses, documents, participants, and ledger records rather than from a second reporting form.
