Solo law firms

Intake, matters, docket, billing, trust and the client portal in one workspace, on one seat.

One seat carries intake, conflicts, matters, documents, docket, time, invoices, trust and the portal. The first hire joins the same workspace with their own role; nothing migrates.

Four moments from one lawyer's day: the week on one screen, a new enquiry checked before it becomes work, the invoice built from real time, and the client portal.

  1. The week on one screen.

Every matter is a card with its practice group, its open work and its next date. My Desk holds the focus timer, the week and what is due, without a second app.

    • Matter cards with open tasks and the next date
    • My Desk: timer, the week and due items
    • Saved views for the matters you touch most
    Legal Matters/folders
  2. New enquiry, checked before it is work.

The enquiry lands in Intake from your public form, a referral or a call. Guided accept runs the conflict check and the identity screen. Convert to a matter without re-typing what the client told you.

    • Leads with source, value and owner
    • Conflict check and AML screen inside guided accept
    • Convert to matter in one step
    Intake/intake
  3. Bill from the time you recorded.

Approved time and disbursements become an invoice on your letterhead. Send it from the invoice with your own email domain. An unpaid invoice turns Overdue on its own once the due date passes, and you are told.

    • Fees, disbursements, tax and total due on letterhead
    • Sent from the record through the firm's own email
    • Card payment in the portal once the firm connects its Stripe account
    Invoices/invoices
Total dueReview fees, disbursements, tax and the total due before sending.
  4. The client sees what you choose.

Seven share switches per client: documents, messages, invoices, work reports, matter status, workstreams and appointments. The client signs in with an emailed link and sees nothing you have not shared.

    • Seven share switches, set per client
    • Two-way messages on the record
    • Emailed sign-in link, no client passwords
    Client Portal/client-portal
SharesControl access to documents, messages, invoices, reports, matter status, workstreams and appointments.

Manage the client relationship from enquiry to invoice, then invite colleagues into the same workspace as your practice grows.

    Docket/docket
  • Invoices

Built from approved time and disbursements, on your letterhead, sent from the record. An unpaid invoice turns Overdue on its own after the due date, and you are told.

Not there yet.

Review migration, court filing and sign-in requirements before moving your practice.

  • Importers

Document upload and record creation ship today. A general firm-data importer is not yet shipped; a migration from Clio, MyCase or a spreadsheet is scoped before any data moves.

  • Court e-filing

No e-filing integration. You file through the court's own system and record the filing event on the matter.

  • Single sign-on

SAML single sign-on is planned, not shipped. SCIM v2 provisioning from your identity provider is available. Sign-in is email and password, with two-factor authentication the firm can require for every member.
