The right Rocket Matter alternative depends on which tier's limits you are hitting. Rocket Matter publishes four plans billed annually: Essentials at $59 user/month, Pro at $95 user/month, Premier at $115 user/month and Elite at $145 user/month. Its built-in business accounting is on Elite only, and its legal CRM is a paid add-on for Pro and Premier.
LawAOS includes operating accounting, intake and pipeline, and e-signature on every plan at $29-$119/user/month. Rocket Matter keeps conflict checks, ethical wall restrictions and document assembly on every tier, and integrates deeply with QuickBooks Online, which LawAOS does not.

Rocket Matter's pricing page shows several capabilities tied to tier. Business accounting with a legal chart of accounts is on Elite only. The Core CRM add-on for Pro and Premier costs $39/month per user billed annually; $49 billed monthly; $399 onboarding.
E-signatures are counted: the pricing page lists 5 per user per month on Essentials and 15 on Pro and Premier, with an overage charge beyond that. Document storage is 25GB on Essentials. Firms that send many signature requests, or want intake inside the base price, often compare alternatives.
Rocket Matter includes conflict checks, ethical wall access restrictions and document assembly on every plan, and describes a statute-of-limitations calculation on its calendar page. Its QuickBooks Online integration syncs invoices, payments and trust transactions; LawAOS has no QuickBooks connection.

- Price the whole firm, including add-ons, payment fees, storage and onboarding, not only the entry plan.
- Run one live matter through the trial end to end: intake, a conflict check, time, an invoice and a trust posting.

- There is no QuickBooks or Xero sync, no period close or lock dates and no cash-flow statement, and bank reconciliation works from an imported statement CSV, not a live bank feed.
- E-signature requests can be sent only for documents created in the LawAOS editor that contain a signature block, not for arbitrary uploaded PDFs, and there are no signature templates.
- LawAOS has a short integration list (Stripe Connect, firm SMTP, Microsoft 365 Mail read-only, signed webhooks) and no app marketplace; Zapier, Slack and QuickBooks connections are not built.
- Moving from Rocket Matter: a general firm-data importer is not yet shipped. The LawAOS Switch importer at Settings > Data imports brings in contacts, companies and matters from Clio, MyCase or PracticePanther exports, or from a CSV, XLSX or ZIP file, with column mapping, duplicate handling and a review step before anything is committed. Documents are uploaded, and time entries, invoices and trust balances are not imported.
